How to Find Fellowship Opportunities
Take it step by step
STEP 1: Sign up and search for fellowships at PIVOT, MSK’s New Funding Search Database
To use the services provided by the Pivot subscription you will need to create your own Pivot account using your MSK email address – this is a quick and easy process:
- Go to https://pivot.proquest.com/session/login
- Click on "Create an account" in the lower right-hand corner
- Open the confirmation email from Pivot
- Click on the link to authenticate your Pivot account.
Once you have a Pivot account you can start using the advanced search function, save your keyword-based searches, and receive targeted email alerts.
STEP 2: Sign up for the Funding Opportunities Weekly. Weekly (FOW) is published every Tuesday. If you would like to receive a copy each week via email, contact schalled@mskcc.org to be placed on the mailing list.
The FOW database consists of four SharePoint lists that allow you to filter by sponsor, disease site, FOW publication date, and more (and refine your selections by multiple filter categories)! See below.
FOW: The FOW worksheet lists all active funding opportunities.
Internal Opps Archive: The Internal Opps Archive houses all of the internal opportunities listed in the FOW since January 2018.
COVID-19: The COVID worksheet includes the active COVID-19 opportunities.
NIH Notices: This worksheet lists all the NIH notices included in the FOW since December 2018.
Filter by column H (heading) “fellowships” this includes all pre and post doc opportunities. Including grants, awards, prizes etc. Download the database to make it easier to filter.
